Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum of Art has very important collections that are widely recognized around the World. It is common knowledge that the Thyssen-Bornemisza family used to collect numerous works that were then bought by the Spanish state in 1993. The collection was valuated in USD 350 million and that was what the family received for it. As you might imagine, Madrid is very proud of this museum and the other that are also part of the “Golden Triangle of Art”.

Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum or Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza is close to the Prado Museum since its address is Paseo del Prado, 8. This museum is an important art gallery that is in Villahermosa. It is said that the world’s finest private art collections is in this museum where you can see incredible works such as the ones of Duccio, Jan Van Eyck, Hans Holbein, Sebastiano del Piombo, Vincent Van Gogh and many others.
Its telephone number is 34 91 369 0151 and this museum has reasonable entrance fee. For instance, adults pay six Euro and students four Euro. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday (10 am - 7 pm). It also offers guided visits.

The Reina Sofía Museum, as it is often called, was inaugurated in 1992. This interesting site is located in Madrid near Madrid Atocha train.
