The Almudena Cathedral is a beautiful building that took over 100 years to be built. This cathedral in Madrid was consecrated by Pope John Paul II in 1993. Its address is Calle de Bailen N/N.

As it is known, this cathedral that has an eclectic 19th century design was named after the Virgen de la Almudena. It is an imposing building with a magnificent interior. It has a Neo-Gothic style and there you can see beautiful chapels and statues that were made by contemporary artists. There is also an image of the Virgen de la Almudena that is of the 16th century.
There are some other attractions close to the Almudena Cathedral such as: Festival Otoo, Real Monasterio de la Encarnación, Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. You can also find wonderful hotels in Madrid that are close to the Almudena Cathedral such as Tryp Ambassador Hotel and Emperador Hotel.
If you are keen on adventure this tourist attraction in Madrid may not appeal to you. However, there are many things to do in this tourist destination in Spain. The Palacio de Cristal, Madrid

This outstanding establishment is located in the Parque del Buen Retiro, which is one of the most important tourist attractions in Madrid. The Palacio de Cristal is relatively close to the Prado Museum and other attractions of this tourist destination in Spain. Its address is Paseo Duque de Fernán Núñez N/N.

The Palacio de Cristal in Madrid is the creation of Ricardo Velázquez Bosco and it is inspired by the British building of the same name that is located in London.
There are temporary exhibitions in the Palacio de Cristal. Admission to this wonderful building is free. It must be said that Ricardo Velázquez Bosco also designed the Minig building in the Parque del Buen Retiro.
If you have time, you should also visit the church of San Sebastian, the Royal Botanical Garden and Puerta del Sol, which are other beautiful attractions that this city has to offer. There are also pleasant hotels close to the Palacio de Cristal such as Hotel Reina Victoria, Hotel Westin Palace and Hotel Villa Real.
It is advisable to book a hotel in advance. Make sure that the hotel you have chosen has multilingual or at least bilingual personnel or sign up for intensive Spanish certified courses before you visit Madrid or any Spanish speaking destination.

The Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid

The Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid is definitively one of the most visited sites by tourists and locals in the city since it is not just beautiful but also close to other attractions such as the Prado Museum.

This eight hectare botanical garden on the Paseo del Prado was founded in 1755. At present, the garden is divided into three wonderful sections and two excellent greenhouses. There you can see a wide variety of plants, flowers and trees. Its sections are: Terraza de los Cuadros, Terraza de las Escuelas Botánicas and Terraza del Plano de la Flor. There is also a library in this garden.
The entrance fee is approximately 2 € for adults and 1 € for children but if you go in a group of ten people the entrance fee will be 0,50 € per person. It must be said that this garden also houses a botanical research center and a herbarium. Its address is Plaza de Murillo Nº 2.
There are pleasant hotels close to the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid such as NH Nacional Hotel and Lope de Vega Hotel.
Visit this wonderful garden in one of the best tourist destinations of Spain where you can also do intensive Spanish certified courses to considerably improve your Spanish while enjoying the beauty of this destination.

Tourism in Alcala de Henares, Madrid

Alcalá de Henares is a beautiful city which was declared World Hertige Site by UNESCO. It is located in the Autonomous Community of Madrid, one of the most important tourist destinations of Spain that has a lot to offer.
The famous Plaza Cervantes in the heart of Alcala de Henares, which is traversed by one of the most important pedestrian street named Calle Mayor, another attractions in the city.

Calle del Cardenal Cisneros, which is another important thoroughfare in Alcala de Henares, takes tourists to the old city centre where you can appreciate the Cathedral in Santos Niños Square.
You will also many historic buildings in the city, but probably this city is widely recognized since the famous writer Miguel de Cervantes was born there. For this reason, the city organizes an annual Cervantes festival on 9th October since it was the day recognized writer was born. There are other important events in this city which has hospital climate.
There are also wonderful restaurants in this city where you can taste the gastronomy of Spain as well as international dishes. The atmosphere of most of the restaurants in Alcala de Henares are outstanding, which allows you to have extravagant meals.

Puerta de Europa towers

Madrid is the capital city of Spain that has numerous tourist attractions and is a recognized cosmopolitan city that constantly receives tourists.
The Puerta de Europa towers are usually visited by tourists since they are imposing twin offices buildings that have become a must do in Madrid, the largest city in Spain.

Being designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee, the towers are named Torres Kio since they were commissioned by Kuwaut Investment Office in 1996. But, years later KIO sold these buildings because of the Torres KIO fraud case.
The Puerta de Europa towers are mentioned in a satanic comedy film in which interesting things about them are said.
They are close to Atudem and Pabellón de hielo. Added to this, you will also find great hotels near the Puerta de Europa towers such as Silken Puerta Castilla Hotel, Abba Castilla Plaza Hotel and Melia Castilla. However, you will find other excellent hotels in Madrid that are not far away from these tourist attractions.
Visit Madrid, one of the most outstanding tourist destination of Spain. There are many things to do in Madrid. We recommend visiting the Plaza de Cibeles, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum of Art, the Puerta del Sol, Madrid CF Bernabéu Stadium, Buen Retiro Park, the Plaza Mayor, the Zoo Aquarium and El Rastro, which are some of the most visited places in Madrid.
