Visiting Madrid Weblog / The Plaza de Cibeles, Madrid

Madrid is an important tourist destination of Spain that offers different sites to visit and enjoy. This is an outstanding square that has a well-known sculpture with fountains. The fountain of Cibeles is in the Paseo de Recoletos, one interesting place that is highly visited by locals and tourists. It portrays the goddess Cibeles. This goddess is the Phrygian goddess of fertility.

Another part of the Plaza de Cibeles is the Paseo del Prado that is another famous boulevard in Madrid. Of course, you can visit Prado Museum since it is interesting and close to this square in Madrid.
You should also stroll around Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcala and Calle Alcala. They are great tourist attractions in Madrid.
You will find wonderful hotels in Madrid close to the Plaza de Cibeles such as the Westin Palace Madrid and Hotel de las Letras H&R.
