Visiting Madrid Weblog / The Royal Botanical Garden of MadridThe Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid is definitively one of the most visited sites by tourists and locals in the city since it is not just beautiful but also close to other attractions such as the Prado Museum.
This eight hectare botanical garden on the Paseo del Prado was founded in 1755. At present, the garden is divided into three wonderful sections and two excellent greenhouses. There you can see a wide variety of plants, flowers and trees. Its sections are: Terraza de los Cuadros, Terraza de las Escuelas Botánicas and Terraza del Plano de la Flor. There is also a library in this garden.
