The Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid

The Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid is definitively one of the most visited sites by tourists and locals in the city since it is not just beautiful but also close to other attractions such as the Prado Museum.

This eight hectare botanical garden on the Paseo del Prado was founded in 1755. At present, the garden is divided into three wonderful sections and two excellent greenhouses. There you can see a wide variety of plants, flowers and trees. Its sections are: Terraza de los Cuadros, Terraza de las Escuelas Botánicas and Terraza del Plano de la Flor. There is also a library in this garden.
The entrance fee is approximately 2 € for adults and 1 € for children but if you go in a group of ten people the entrance fee will be 0,50 € per person. It must be said that this garden also houses a botanical research center and a herbarium. Its address is Plaza de Murillo Nº 2.
There are pleasant hotels close to the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid such as NH Nacional Hotel and Lope de Vega Hotel.
Visit this wonderful garden in one of the best tourist destinations of Spain where you can also do intensive Spanish certified courses to considerably improve your Spanish while enjoying the beauty of this destination.
