Tourism in Alcobendas, Madrid


Alcobendas is a beautiful city located in the Community of Madrid, one outstanding tourist destination in Spain. This city is just 7 kilometres away from the Barajas airport but13 kilometres away from Madrid. Tourism in Alcobendas is not very lively but, it this city has many things to offer.

There is a central urban zone but the natural reserve zone is a must see as well as Valdelacasa, which is a high-tech area. The Cosmocaixa sciences museum is also worth seen since it is a modern museum that also has an interactive sector for kids.
If you are in Alcobendas you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit: FIBA Hall of Fame, the Diversia entertainment center and the Municipal Museum of Bonsai of Alcobendas. You can also visit the only one golf course in this city.
There are also excellent restaurants in Alcobendas where you can taste the gastronomy of Spain as well as international dishes. Many locals and tourists have claimed that Silk & Spice, Jumar 2 SL, Vega de levante and Isidro de Agueda Revilla are very good restaurants where you can enjoy delicious dishes and great atmosphere.
It must be said that parking in Alcobendas is not often an easy task in some districts such as in the Casco district. However, public transport in Alcobendas are usually efficient.
We would like to remind you that Spanish is the official language in Madrid and it is a good idea to sign up for intensive Spanish certified courses to speak this language without difficulty. However, you have also the possibility to travel to Argentina where you can learn Spanish while enjoying wonderful activites such as climbing Mount Aconcagua,the highest mountain in the Americas. Argentinians are friendly and will help you improve your Spanish.
